Livepeer is a decentralised video transcoding and streaming infrastructure network launched in 2018. LPT is the native staking and work token used to coordinate video orchestrators and delegators. The protocol provides a productive service — video transcoding is a real economic input for streaming platforms — and competes directly with centralised providers like AWS Elemental.
